9 Sessions:

  • Introduction & Psychoeducation: providing a foundation for understanding grief.
  • Common Grief Responses: recognizing the emotional, physical, and psychological reactions to loss which are normal in the process of grief.
  • Self-Care & Coping Skills: equipping individuals with strategies to manage their well-being.
  • Their Story: participants have the opportunity to share about their loved one's story and their relationship with them.
  • Managing the Stress of Change: focuses on adapting to life's transitions.
  • Embracing the Memories: encourages finding comfort in cherished moments.
  • Searching for Meaning: explores personal growth and understanding through loss.
  • Believing Life is Worth Living: fosters hope and resilience.
  • Final Thoughts & Wrap-Up offers reflection and closure on the groups’ journey through the program.

Intensive Outpatient and Aftercare Treatment

Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 9:00am - 12:15pm
320 High Street NE in Warren

The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) consists of 24 group counseling sessions, three times a week over the course of 8 weeks. Each group session is 3 hours long. In addition to the group services provided, clients will also be expected to submit to regular, random drug testing to demonstrate program compliance and to provide personal accountability. Individuals in the IOP program are also required to attend at least 3 recovery support group meetings weekly throughout the course of their IOP treatment.

Our 6 Week Program:

  • Understanding Anger
  • Identifying Triggers & Early Warning Signs
  • Cognitive Restructuring &Reframing
  • Self-Care, Mindfulness, and Relaxation Defined
  • Relaxation Techniques & Coping Skills
  • Communication Skills & Assertiveness

The Basics:

  • Advance registration is REQUIRED.
  • Group will meet every Tuesday, 10-11:30am, for a 6 week cycle.
  • Schedule given after registration.
  • Attendance to all 6 sessions is mandatory for a certificate of completion.
  • This is an Open Group (but advance registration and intake required).
  • If you miss a session, you can wait for the cycle to repeat and make it up.
