Clothing and Product Donations

Thanks to a partnership between Goodwill Industries and COMPASS Family & Community Services, residents of Sojourner House Domestic Violence Program and Daybreak Youth Crisis Center can use vouchers to shop for FREE clothing and household goods at any local Goodwill store.

Allowing COMPASS program residents to shop at Goodwill gives them the freedom to choose clothing that fits well, suits their style preferences, and boosts their confidence.

Donating gently used clothing and household items to Goodwill also results in meaningful work for the stores’ employees, many of whom have disabilities. COMPASS does not have the space nor the resources to manage these donations at our facilities.

Giving Tuesday Match for Agency Funds

This year, the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley will match your donation, up to $2,000 per fund, beginning on Giving Tuesday (Nov. 29) and running through the end of the year (12/31/2022). That means your donation will be doubled! The Doris Burdman Home for Mental Health, and Sojourner Domestic Violence Program can benefit from this wonderful opportunity.

Please consider giving this holiday season.

Checks can also be made payable to the Community Foundation of Mahoning Valley and mailed to 201 E. Commerce St., Suite 150, Youngstown OH  44503.  Please designate your donation to either Sojourner House or Doris Burdman.

You can also help us out when buying from Amazon. Click on the Amazon Smiles Logo and Amazon will take care of the rest.  Same Amazon, just a different way of linking to their site.

Save COMPASS as your favorite and each time you shop, we benefit at no extra cost to you.
